Location and Rates for Psychotherapy

My practice is located on the DC Metro Red Line, a few blocks from Farragut North Metro, K Street Exit. My office is at 1425 K Street, NW, Suite 350. I see clients in the evening, after work hours, and occasionally on Saturdays.

The business process of psychotherapy can be awkward for some. Like any other profession I must get paid the time I set aside for you. My rates are standard. They are as follows:

  • First initial interview session is $120.00
  • Standard 45 minute session is $120.00
  • Standard 65 minute session is $150.00
  • Couple or Family session is $150.00
  • Group therapy session is $50.00

I accept cash, check, and money orders at the time of service. Your insurance may pay for the services if you have a PPO or Open Access Plan. I will give you a bill detailing services and your payments and other details insurance companies require for reimbursement each month or more often if you request. From time to time I will consider a sliding fee scale depending on your situation.

I will assist with any information request from your insurance. However, you must contact your insurance about coverage for services. Simply let them know my name and that I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) practicing in DC. Although I am a licensed psychotherapist, some insurance plans only pay for in-network providers. That is why it is essential you call if you want insurance reimbursement. Also, the services I provide do fall under medical services qualified for flex spending accounts. Feel free to call if you have questions.
